Landfills 11, 12, and 14; Fire Training Areas 2, 3, 4, and 5; Earthfill Disposal Zones 11 and 12, Spill Site 1
Landfill 11 was regraded to improve drainage and eliminating ponding. Regrading activities
were completed in March 1997. Landfill 12 was a small half acre chemical disposal area
consisting of trenches approximately 2 feet wide by 3 feet deep. In December 1997, the
entire contents of Landfill 12 were removed, and disposed of off-site at hazardous waste
treatment facilities. Site investigations indicated remedial actions were not necessary
for the other sites within this OU. Long-term monitoring is being addressed under the
Basewide Monitoring Program.
